The Great Saltair | Salt Lake City Photographer
As a Salt Lake City photographer, one of my favorite places to photograph is out at The Great Saltair. The wide open space, neutral colors and soft, beautiful sunsets are to die for. There is also so much variety. I often have my families start out on the sand/salt, we make our way over to the rock piles, and we end the night by playing in the water. You not only get a variety of scenery, but also a variety of light as well. It starts off a little more harsh, which I have learned to love. We end the night with a gorgeous, soft sunset. It can’t get any better than that.
I absolutely adore the Siggard family. I used to associate shoot for Jackie, and now I am her photo editor when busy season hits. I value her friendship, and feel so honored that she would trust me with her own family photos.
If you are wanting to book a family session at this gorgeous location, my favorite, minimal bug time of year to shoot, is in September or October. The water may be a little chillier, but it’s worth it to avoid the mosquitoes. I like to make sure that there aren’t any events going on out at the concert hall, that way I can avoid a large group of people. Here is the website to check for future events: https://thesaltair.com/
